    MHSBC Writers Workshops, Registration Begins

  • REGISTER NOW: February 26th, 2022 - “Keeping Our Stories Alive” with facilitator Helen Rose Pauls.
Helen will share a few skills and ways to delve into the stories of the past and bring it alive for the next generation.
Come prepared to share a story or two and to record some new ideas.

  • SAVE THE DATE: March 26th, 2022 - "The Power of Story" with facilitator Elsie K. Neufeld.
What makes a life story powerful? Is the story of a housewife, a janitor, or a factory worker any less powerful than that of a renowned politician, clergy person, or an academic achiever? Every life is a story, and written or told, in even the simplest language, holds power. In this workshop, we'll look at how to write your life into a story that, regardless of how mundane it may seem, is an engaging and wonder-evoking disclosure of "This is my life. This is what I did. See what I did!"

  • SAVE THE DATE: April 30th, 2022 - "To Write or Not to Write; That is the Question?" with facilitator Danny Unrau.
The workshop will explore questions such as" Who do you read? What do you read? What motivates your writing? When/where/how do you write? etc. etc. Let's talk!
